Militia

The Militia encampment showcases the activities that would be performed by members of the militia. Visitors will have the opportunity to join the Militia and participate in drills and presentations to the Queen. The militia encampment also includes a cooking area used by the wife of one of the militiamen to cook their meals as well as occasional visits by the Barber Chirugeon to treat any injuries sustained by the Militia.

• The Barber Chirugeon provides the medical care for the militia including treating injuries, surgery, and treating illness. He was assisted by any wives that accompanied the Militia.
